The first "Permanent Artificial Heart Pump" operation in Türkiye was performed at Yeditepe University Hospital.

With a technique performed at Yeditepe University Hospital, three patients underwent "Vascularized Bone Transplantation" with bones taken from their own bodies without the need for knee prosthesis. This technique, the first of its kind in the world, has been accepted for publication as a scientific article abroad.
